Camped for 2 nights here. The campsite was great - good fire pit, seclusion, .3mi walk to the mccloud swimming hole with a rope swing, and bathrooms available.
Backpacked into Ross lake area and camped at hidden hand. We stayed at an equestrian friendly spot and there was a fire pit and nice flat area for our tent. The spot was a few min walking to the lake and we watched the sunrise there
Started this trail during sunset so we didn’t get to the lake until night. Worth it to spend the night. There was lots of space to be away from other backpackers. Very full moon
We camped a little off of the main lot in the sandy area. There was great visibility for star gazing. Only downside is that everyone is at this site so it isn’t super quiet and you don’t have that much privacy. Nice bathrooms though
We got lucky enough to find a FCFS spot that was away from other groups and in between some big rocks. Great spot with nice amenities
Loved this spot! It was very secluded, with lots of forest all around. Stayed here a couple years ago and enjoyed it so much.
Fairly close to Kings canyon NP. Campsites are a bit close to other campers/RVers, but overall, a nice site.
Had 20 people in our group and the space was massive for us. There was a nice spot for a campfire as well
The campsite was very private and 2min walking from the lake
