Beautiful

Beautiful location! A bit of a drive off the main road, but well worth it. A bit buggy when we visited (July) but there are hiking trails and beautiful views and Lea Lake is open for swimming. Our site had trash in it from the previous campers. We went ahead and cleaned up after them. We only stayed for a night, but it was quiet and beautiful.

Great Campground!

We loved Homolovi! Full hookups, clean bathrooms, gorgeous sunset and very helpful and kind rangers! For coming in mid July the evenings and morning were beautiful. Take the time to visit both sets of ruins in the morning to avoid heat (we loved Homolovi 1) and learn about the Hopi people. Winslow (closest town) is a short drive away and well worth it. Great food, Standing on the Corner site and even a great local brewery.

Hot

Be prepared for the heat! Full hookup and decent cell service. No AC in the bathrooms so they were pretty uncomfortable, but they were clean. The ghost town was fun to explore and learn about. Basic food fare as well as local beers on tap. Our kiddos loved it!
