I am a self-proclaimed happy camper and always look forward to summer in WA, as it means we get to go camping!
Memorial Day weekend site

This was our first camping trip of the season, for memorial day weekend. As first timers at this site, we were pleasantly surprised with the location and amenities. We had a tent site and had good shade/privacy. Would recommend a stay for those in WA looking for a nearby site!

Great campsite with lots of options!

We stayed in a tiny house at this campsite, and had a great time exploring the local area. The campground also offers plenty of RV and tent sites. There are quite a few amenities as well including a pool and WiFi.

About 30 minutes from Leavenworth, this campground is a great launchpad for some unforgettable adventures. We look forward to coming back to explore even more!

First camping in WA - great spot!

This was our first camping trip, as new Washington locals. While we do not normally do KOAs, this was a good call, as the campground does accept reservations, which is hard to find on the Olympic Peninsula. The campground was a great launching pad for all our explorations, including the Hoh rain forest and Victoria BC (a short ferrry ride away). I would recommend a stay here!

Great stay on the San Juans!

We enjoyed our stay at this campsite, but do note it is on the opposite side of the island from the ferry terminal, so you need to drive there. We stayed in our tent and got to explore the island from the campground. There is lots to do in the campground including kayaking and hiking. I recommend going into town to explore the shops and taking a day trip to Friday Harbor!

Great stay in National Park

We enjoyed our stay at Mt Rainier and loved the hiking the area had to offer. There are multiple shops and restaurants inside the park, making it a great place for the family. We camped in our tent, and were disappointed with the amenities. There are toilets and sinks, but no showers. There is not a good spot to wash dishes, and you lose cell service 45 minutes before getting to the campsite, so be prepared for more primitive camping! Also, bears are real so keep your food locked in the bear containers provided!

Best campsite yet!

What else can I say than we truly loved Chelan! We fell in love with this campsite last summer and already have our reservation confirmed for this summer!

This RV and tent campground is huge and we got a spot right on the lake, which was unforgettable! We made fires by the lake and had a very private tent site. The restrooms were quiet and clean, and there is so much to do in the nearby surrounding area! Highly highly recommend!

Great Campground with Amenities and Trails

We had a great stay at Beaver Bay! Located at the base of Mt St Helens, there is so much to do in this area, you’ll never get bored!

We enjoyed the amenities the campground had to offer including restroom and shower facilities, firewood for sale and a dishwashing station. There were some noisy children nearby, but overall our spot was fairly quiet and shaded. We look forward to going back again soon!

Great tent camping close to hiking and home!

Living just north of Seattle, Deception Pass State Park was a great stay for us in WA! We enjoyed a quick one night tent stay at one of the parks tent sites. The campground was equipped with nice restroom and shower facilities, as well as a trail and nearby store/restaurant walkable from the tent site! We look forward to returning again soon for a longer stay and to explore more of the area!

Great KOA with lots to do and awesome location!

While not usually KOA kampers, we had a great, private stay at the Astoria KOA. This place is huge! While mostly an RV campground, the lot features severely more primitive tent sites, which we stayed at. The tent was set up on a wooden platform, which worked really welll and was easy to do. The KOA featured all amenities (showers, restrooms, laundry, pool, restaurant, kid activities), but we did have trouble finding a place to refill drinking water and wash dishes. Overall, we give it two thumbs up and plan to return again!

Great Site for RVs, Okay for Tents

While we had a great stay at Alpine View RV, we did find that this campground seemed to be bettter suited for RV customers than tent campers such as ourselves! There were many RVs fairly close together, which contributed to generator noise and lack of privacy. Also, the campsite was quite dusty (instead of dirt/grass, which we are more accustomed to). The restroom facilities were quite nice and the proximity to Leavenworth proper was unbeatable! Would we stay again? Maybe, but we are also open to exploring other camping options in the area.
