Very small Corps of Engineer Park. Has a lot of potential but needs some work. Lots of gravel would be a good start. We could not maneuver our 36’ MH into our assigned spot because of the drop off on the side of the road. Also appears to have some spots that flood when raining. Bathrooms were clean when we arrived but by night four they were a mess. Half of our concrete table benches were mIssIng. Full sign out when a walk up spot was available next to us. Hosts were very nice. only 15 spots or so, as half the campground was shut down at some point. would be nice to see it cleaned up and reopened.
We are currently staying at Cedar Creek. It's a nice campground with about 60 sites. There are not as many waterfront sites compared to most Corps of Engineer Parks. There are some other inside sites with views, but the majority do not have them.
I would give the campground 5 stars but the day use area kind of ruined it for us on the weekends. The crowd has been loud and rowdy and left the day use area a mess. They also overflowed into the campground, walking in and using the campground showers and restrooms when they had their own.
I walked around on Monday with my dogs and found everything from condoms to dirty diapers. If the Corps can get a handle on the day use area, this little gem would be perfect.
