All of Brown County State Park is beautiful, be we particularly love camping down in Taylor Ridge! It’s very secluded, quiet and beautiful. We have not made a long trip there yet, so we are not aware of the condition of the facilities. But I’m sure they are just as beautiful as the rest of the park. Brown County is the whole package, camping, hiking, horseback riding, breath-taking overlooks. It’s definitely worth the trip! I recommend spending an afternoon in Downtown Nashville while you’re there! It the the most adorable little town.
We love Turkey Run. The campgrounds are clean and fun for all ages. The outer edge campsites provide beautiful views of the woods and are pretty secluded from other sites. The hiking trails are incredible…one of a kind for Indiana. The trails are more like adventures, leading in and out of the creek, up stairs carved into rock, up and down ladders, and across a cable bridge. It’s just beautiful. The facilities are clean, the staff is as nice as can be. You won’t regret staying at Turkey Run.
We love spending time at McCormick’s Creek. The facilities are always very clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers in the campgrounds. We have never seen bathrooms that nice and clean at any state park. The playgrounds were clean and provided lots of fun for our son. The trails are so nice and very well-maintained. Our 5 year old had no problem hiking any of the trails we took. Wolf Cave and the Falls are definitely worth seeing! Wolf Cave is quite a thrill and the Falls are so serene and beautiful. Even the dump station is very nice and well maintained. We never have any problems at all during our stays at McCormick's Creek. The staff, facility and park are all so wonderful.
