Ended up boondocking at the park because of a terrible storm that blew in and wouldn't allow me to keep my tent down, but overall a great night even with sleeping in the car. Paved accessible roadways and free hot shower in the restrooms is a major perk!
Amazing out-of-the-way location when visiting Grand Staircase. We stayed the night at this campsite after completing Escalante Arch & Natural Bridge. Great place for someone with a 2WD vehicle on their way to Capitol Reef. Restrooms were in good shape as well.
After a long afternoon in Bryce Canyon NP this was a perfect stop for us and worth the payment for the campsite. Sites were first come first serve and accessible to 2WD vehicles with low clearance. Showers were overall amazing and the bathrooms were even warm at night when it got chilly. Definitely would stay here again when visiting Bryce.
The absolute best option for camping in Zion if you're lucky enough to secure a spot early. Paved parking for 2WD vehicles and the campsite itself was plenty quiet. Couldn't get tent stakes to go down into rocky pad, but was able to weigh down tent for the night no problem with surrounding objects. Great overnight stay.
Stayed here on 04/29/23 travelling from Sand Caves & Belly of the Dragon to Zion NP. Great place to stop for the night and pitch the tent. 2WD car did not have any issues on a fairly dry day, and we were able to access the park easily the next morning.
Camped here 04/28/23 on a road trip across the U.S. and had an easy time getting a campsite. Road was decent enough for my 2WD car, but getting off the road into the campsites sometimes meant crossing a trench. Overall worked out and we left early the next morning after packing up the tent.
Stayed here 04/26/23 for an overnight stop after visiting White Sands National Park. Great views of the lake and plenty of other vans/RVs around but everyone was very quiet and respectful
Great place to rest for the night before attempting any hikes in Organ Desert Mountains National Monument. I had a little trouble with the road driving a low clearance 2WD Ford Fusion, but was able to navigate to a fire ring about 2 spots in where I made camp for the night. Tent camped although the ground is quite hard for spikes and spot can be very windy in the afternoon but views were worth it.
Stayed here nights 1 and 2 of a road trip and had zero problems with the site. Tent camped both nights and made it pretty far back in 2WD Ford Fusion with low clearance so if you're just looking for a great spot to post up for Guadalupe Mountains National Park or Carlsbad Caverns National Park, this is it.
