We were here last summer and absolutely loved it. In mid June the night temp was around 65 degrees, massive amount of stars. Bathrooms are clean. Hikes are amazing.
We loved this place! Great sites, nice bathrooms, gorgeous park! A real gem in West Texas.
Great campground, the first couple loops have lost all trees and are very exposed. We stayed in loop C, which still has trees. Easy walk to Sprague lake where we caught a bunch of trout. No showers but clean bathrooms. Pack for cold weather even in the summer!
We had a walk in sight that was beautiful! Great view, private, and even saw some deer walk by at dusk. Showers cost a couple bucks coins and only last 4 minutes, so scrub quick. Lots of stuff for kids to do and close to Colorado Springs.
Hot in the summer but campground has great ranger programs, relatively clean bathrooms, and awesome spots on the Green River. Close to the Dinosaur Quarry (also awesome). Throw a tarp down under your tent… It helps with the dust at this one!
