No Camping in this resort. It was a nice spot to park the camper, and visit family in town. The sites are extremely close. I had a very difficult time parking my 37' foot travel trailer. If someone is parked across from you, you basically are stuck.
The rules are extremely strict, as this is mainly a retirement community. No fires, no noise, and no fun. The kids were in our small site throwing the football, but being stared at by neighbors to ensure we did not exceed the perceived fun level that must have been an unwritten rule.
The site itself was great, and was basically new. Very level and great hookups. Just small.
I wish I had known that this was mainly a retirement community. Always being stared at by the live in community and just felt unwelcome. Staff was friendly but interaction with them was brief.
Crossing the highway to get in the park was a nightmare as well. (Not the resorts fault, but be aware of it). I probably would rate higher if it wasn't for the unwelcome feeling you get by being there. Like we were a burden to the people that lived there. The site itself is 4 stars, but the people there are just not friendly.
Nice camping site off of I-95. I stayed one night each, going south and on the return trip north. The first site they tried to put me in was a "premium" site overlooking the lake. Beautiful site, but not nearly big enough for my 37' travel trailer. They moved me immediately, and even refunded the difference of cost between the new site and original site.
The camping sites are nice, and some are level. hookups are convenient, and work well. Lake is beautiful, and even had wooden chairs for use.
Store was stocked well, and had a pizzeria inside.
I will use this site going south again.
Recommend.
This campsite is conveniently located off of I-64, and easy accessible. We stayed for the weekend and had a great time. The camp sites are nice, and we were able to stay in a pull through location. Be careful though, as some sites are really close to the main office were check-in is, and can come quickly, as ours was. No big deal, and we should of looked at the site map closer, but heads up anyway.
The sires themselves are rather close, but nice and level. Hook ups were easily accessible, and worked well. The main office has a nice store with all the necessities. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.
This was my first trip in my new travel trailer. What a great experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Sites were well organized and easy to access. The pull through spot really helped on my first adventure. Hook ups were clean, and easily accessible. I have no complaints or gripes with this locations. Highly recommend.
