My favourite campground I stayed at along the Oregon coast. Located at the base of a mountain and right next to a beautiful little beach, the place has a magical isolated feel to it, even though it is next to the highway (the traffic reduces to a trickle at night).
A very lovely free campground provided courtesy of the hydroelectric company. Around 10 sites with free firewood, washrooms, drinking water and a small lagoon for swimming. Did I mention it’s free??
One of the most beautiful places I camped in Oregon. The remote location, dry desert landscape, lovely clear river and incredible canyon rock formations make for a very interesting experience. Was there on a Thursday and was the only camper, although there are people using the boat launch during the day. For $8 can’t be beat!
