This is the best place we have stayed on our trip. It is calming and comfortable. The shower rooms are clean, everyday! There is grass and trees at every site. The river is behind us and is lovely to watch. I would recommend this place. Site 12.
This was a lovely way to start our vacation. We had a space that overlooked the lake.
Just be sure you have long enough water and electric hose. The park is directional and our water and power services were on the wrong side. But other than that is was great.
It isn't all together a terrible place, best for a night or two. We stayed 3 nights. If you have a partial hook up site, they are in gravel, which isn't bad but they are so un-level. It took us longer than usual to set up. The rv sites are also cramped. They young adults who seem to manage the park are not very friendly. The bathhouse is very old and has extremely small shower stalls. The shower curtain barely fits across the opening. If you don't like trains don't go, 3-5 a night.
This campground was very clean. Trees and grass and the creek at each of the front sites. Nice laundry and clean bathrooms ans showers. The owner, Janet is always working to make it comfortable. She takes each guest to their site, personally. There are movies to check out, no cost, in the office. It is close to many things in town.
Marshall park campground is a nice out of the way place to stay. It is dry camping. It is next to the Rio Grande River which makes for some beautiful sounds. there are outhouse which are kept very clean. there is a host and are very nice and have some fire wood for sale. This campground is out of Creede about 5 miles.
