Cool spot, but beware of NAILS! Other than that, some night you might get some loud locals riding OHV on the other side of the lake.
I drove in and was immediately stopped by park rangers. They told me they were letting people know they will be shutting this location down do to people not being decent. If it is still open, you’ll see a lot of trash. Certain sites looked better than others. Flat land with not a lot to do.
I was in search of t-mobile 5g as I had some things to do. I originally was going to a different spot in this app. But just kept going up up up. In the way up I saw a few springs. Some openings with views. NOTE: the beginning of the road starts off easy. But to access this location you will need at the least HIGH CLEARANCE. I did it in my lifted f-350. This is just the end of the road. There are many options on the way up. Like probably around 50?
Amazing spot that gets you right up to the river blasted walls of the mountain. I followed the path to the spot deeper. We can hear coyotes howling in the distance. I have dispersed camped for the last 8 months straight over 9k miles now, and I’m so happy with this spot. It’s one of my favorites so far. It’s clean, secluded. I am here in June, and it’s hot. BEWARE you need 4x4 and high clearance. You absolutely will get very stuck if you attempt it in anything else. Enjoy!
I stayed here for a few nights in march. I have a high clearance truck that allowed me to get up a bit higher. The view is nice, you can see the lights from the oilfield. Walmart is about 20 min, but at 70mpg the entire time.
Nice spot, pretty clean. Pretty easy to get to. There is a dirt road leading up to it. I think most size rigs could make it.
Sweet spot. I have a high clearance truck that allowed me to continue past the lot, and up up up the mountain. If you get up to the top and keep following it, you will end up in an amazing place.
