Beautiful area

Close to bay. A few hook up sites but you need to reserve months ahead . Also reservation site not clear on hook ups. Water at site. Big trees. Shuttle to go to town $1. Warning. Signs posted about thieves/ Make sure you put everything away or lock it up good. Fairly level.

Beautiful Scenery

Dry camping. They have a few spots with hook ups but you are basically in a parking lot just feet away from next RV. Many spots not level. No shade. Scenery is very nice. Colored rocks. Not far from St.George. Was very hot for May. They have showers public restrooms.

Dont waste your money. Very small. Sites are basically parking lot slots.

Easy beach access, Unique beach with train tracks running above it,.Very smelly due to all the dead sea plants piled on beach. Pier closed and probably will never open since California like to use their money for welfare. All the grass is dead so lots of dust. No site privacy all crammed into a very small park. No hook-ups or dump. Water available. Bathrooms OK. Small store at park. entrance was hard to find. I missed it and had to drive a few miles up highway to turn around. Tent campers literally 5 ft from RV. Weather ok. not much shade.

Beautiful Area.

No hook ups. Bathrooms ok. No cell or WiFi unless you go park by Park Entrance Ranger office and you get a weak signal. Easy Access to beach. San Simeon town just 5 min away.

Grass all dead. Many ground squirrels who come right up to you and beg for treats. Some noise from highway. Country is beautiful

On the beach, However

Another military RV campground in need of renovation. 10 washing machine and dryers and only 2 worked. Ice Machine broke. Many sites the sewer hook-ups are closed up. right on the beach you cant get any closer. Not much on the base. Just a little NEX. Be warned when the sun goes down the mosquitoes are horrendous. Everybody goes inside to get away from them.

On base, OK with full hook ups.

Basically a big parking lot with a little grass. No trees. Ants everywhere so bring spray. 5-10 min to beach. Word of warning. If you stay and want to come back on return trip it must have been 14 days since you left, Place was 2/3rds empty and they wouldn't let me stay. 1 mile from Exchange. Weather was nice but no shade.

Nice location, nice weather

Sites need renovation and they claim it is coming. Of course they have said that for the last 3 years. Their answer to uneven sites is to give you pieces of wood to try and level. Good luck, I saw some raised up 2-3 feet. Full hook-ups, although for some strange reason they are at front of site. Military only. Just 5 min to Monterey wharf.

Beautiful area, crowded

Be careful on which site you pick, although on line doesn't explain well. Mine was on a bad slope and no way to level. Very crowded. Wood laying around all over but you cant use it. They want you to spend $10 on their wood. Drought has killed all grass, so lots of dirt. Tight roads wouldn't recommend anything over 28ft, and forget a trailer. Nasty black flies.

Run Down, No room

Small sites, many are just in a parking lot where you get 2 normal slots. Near beach but no provided access. You have to go under a highway underpass. No access during high tide. Mosquitoes everywhere. No hook-ups yet it cost $40. Overflowing dumpsters. Actually saw a bum digging through them in front of my site. Dirty bathrooms. Needs a total renovation.
