The campground is in a beautiful area near Golden. There are plenty of hiking trails in the park some easy some difficult. Make sure you leave out prepared. The sites are not very level so be prepared to use your blocks. When we where there, there were bear in fhe campground.

The campground is nice and has well maintained bathhouse. When making a reservation make sure you find spots with shade. Great location to see area towns.

The flowers around the campground are beautiful. The campsites are large and secluded. When going to cisit different towns it is located in a great location fo easily get around. The restrooms were comparable to Fort Wilderness.

This is a tylical illinois state park. Tun down and not well taken care of. Positive is the lake.

Nice little campground. If you want full hook up you will need to be on the top loop of the campground. The lower loop has a cream running through it. Depending on ran this can cause flooding. I have never been here when it is busy but I can imagine it can get crowded. The showers are clean and updated and the store is stocked with basic supplies.

Great park for hiking. The campground is very wooded and wonderful during the fall.

Stay here several times each year. Only down side of the park is that it is only open on the weekends. On holiday weekends you are able to stay for three nights. The sites are crushed limestone and are level and wooded. There is one bathroom/shower building at the front of the campground. There are some clean outhouses places around the campground. If you are staying here to see Chicago the gates close for the park an hour after sunset.
