You have to hike about a mile and have a permit from the Rangers station, but it’s all worth it for the unbelievable low tides.

cons: have to queue in the morning to get a campsite and sites are pretty close together

There is a great trail that connects the campgrounds with the Woodland Trail. Once you’ve parked at the campground, there’s no need to get in your car until you leave!
