We came in on a Saturday afternoon campground only 2 sites left. Very loud, generators running constantly. 2 groups playing very loud music. One group did karaoke for 6 hours. Visitors parked at the last vacant site making others think it was full. No garbage receptacles. Dirty bathroom.
No good access to lake for swimming.
I do not recommend
We stopped for one night on our way home. This is a really cute little campground. Nice bath house. Sites are level and right next to a little stream. Hiking trails and close to I 75. Highly recommend.
Most campsites are nice. Clean bathhouse and laundry. Odd museum and nothing was open. Historic Sulphar Spings was cool but terrible signage. Need trail maps for hiking in park. Not much to do downtown. We rode our electric bikes around and saw the historical houses. Need a cafe and some shops.
The park is in a great area Mcintosh and Micanopy are historical towns with great walk, and bike ability. Right in Orange Lake yoy can kayak. They have rentals for 10.00.
Nice people new owners a little run down but they are working on it.
Terrible phone service
