Quiet get away

Another great place in Kansas. We managed to book this place on the start of Labor Day Weekend because of a last minute cancellation and we were extremely lucky to get this place last minute. Overall everything was great EXCEPT the swim access on arrow rock. Most of the shoreline is jagged rock and without water shoes or crocs it’s not worth it. Water isn’t too bad but it is still pretty murky.

Key highlights

Best RV spot is #25 - extremely shady Boat ramps are barely busy Great playground for kids Bathrooms/showers very clean Spacious lots

My favorite place in Alaska

The “city” of Girdwood is awesome. This place has trails that can take 30 minutes to complete up to 2 days (Crow’s Pass) with a views that can’t be seen anywhere else. There’s Alaska pretty and then there’s this place.

For the winter, I would still recommend coming out here if for nothing more than snowboarding on Aleyeska.

Tons of festivals year round so plan accordingly, my favorite was Octoberfest.

Nice small lake

Fishing wasn’t bad, boat ramp was never crowded. There’s a nice playground and sandy beach swim area for the little ones. Shade is there but not on all sites, good luck there. Fairly cheap, was a bit confusing to pay for our spot though.

Party hub

The lake was flooded so the water was a bit off, biggest complaint was the lack of shade on our spot and the amount of young people partying all night. Brewery in the city of el dorado wasn’t bad.

Bluestem RV

Wonderful spot close to sandy beaches, great for little kids. Good clear water at 3 feet deep. Sparse T-Mobile cell service.

88 great spot
