Location and View!

Nice campground and amazing location to June Lake! We got a great spot with the best view of the lake! Our loop didn’t have a bathroom so we had to walk to the next loop which was a bit of a walk, not one I want to take in the middle of the night alone. Busy site, they were pretty close together. We had some very loud kids a few spots over that liked to yell over each other and they pushed the quiet hours boundary a bit, not really respectful of others and never heard an adult tell them to turn their volume down. Not the sites fault but there’s not much trees or space to cut down your neighbors noise. The view and location makes it all worth it though!

Open space

Stayed here in July. It’s an open area with a few picnic tables and fire pits, not really set spots. The night we stayed got windy as there was a big storm in the distance, which was pretty cool to watch considering it stayed away from us!

Pros and cons of nature

We didn’t go very far in but the park has some beautiful views, including a lake we could walk to from the campsite. We stayed at the Yucca Campground which was great and the spots were nicely spaced out. It was a little challenging to find a good flat spot to set up our tent and the spot we did find didn’t last long, it got VERY windy that night and we had to move our tent between some trees which helped a little. The bathrooms are hole in the ground outhouses and were quite smelly and loaded with flys but that’s camping for ya!

Last minute find

The campground we were hoping for was full but they mentioned this one was nearby and luckily they had openings! Long dirt road in and the staff was super friendly! There’s a tent spot that’s pretty private, we picked that one and I’m very glad we did! Other spots were pretty close and this one was ideal. Bathrooms are a short walk to ports potties with a running water sink which was nice. Overall a great stay!

Cheap and clean!

The drive kind of makes it seem to be in the middle of nowhere, it’s on an Indian Reserve. Tent spots were $12 and there were plenty of openings so we weren’t directly next to anyone which was nice but they are set up in a line surrounding a grass area for pets. There’s a recreation center but the kitchen and indoor lounge areas were closed because Covid. Attached is the bathrooms and showers, VERY nice and VERY clean! Overall a really beautiful site!

Private Camping

We had no immediate neighbors at our site which was great but the bathroom closest to us was closed so we had a bit of a walk down the road to the next one. Felt really private with only a rv across the way and a few other tents through the wooded median. The tent pad was perfect and one of the rangers stopped by in the morning and gave us some great hiking suggestions!

Great spot!

It was a quick stay but great nonetheless! Picked a spot not too far from the bathrooms and there ended up being a little trail so we didn’t have to trek through anyone’s site or go all the way around. Sites are nicely spaced out

Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This campground is beautiful! Great setup and clean bathrooms with running water. We got an inside site but did check out the view along the edge around sunset, so pretty! Sites are on the closer side but I never felt too close to my neighbors. Would 100% stay here again!
