Great Campground For All Ages!

After following this campground's FB page for years we finally got to visit this summer. It sits along the Rifle River next to Rifle River Campground and Whites Campground.

The campground is huge and offers so much! The store up front had everything you probably forgot at home, plus more.

The bathrooms were always clean when we needed them. The showers were clean, some lacked hanging hooks on the walls. The water was warm immediately, but the push button timer for the shower water made showers kind of annoying (small issue though).

Everyone seemed to abide by the noise curfews around 11 pm and it seemed rather quiet through the night given the amount of campers around. The rustic sites along the river in section "N" were very large and spacious spots. Sections L and M seemed to be tightly packed in.

The Group camping side is considered the "Adult/Party" area. Nobody was crazy out of hand or anything to that nature, just louder music, drinking, etc.

There were numerous playground areas, volleyball, horseshoes, and even an arcade area. Although we didn't stay in the Family area it looked very nice.

We had a great time at the campground and would 100% stay again.

Very nice campground, friendly staff

We stayed at this campground for 4 nights in early September 2020. This is a great location based around Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes areas.

We stayed on a small camper site near the lake ( spot 22 if you look on a map) although we had nice view of the lake, the spot where we camped was next to the area where your allowed to bring your dog to go to the bathroom, so theres a decent amount of foot traffic in that particular area. That spot was also near the boat ramp. There weren't any boats coming in/out during the time we were there, it might be annoying if it were early spring or later in the camping year when people remove their boats.

Bathrooms and showers were clean and there was someone cleaning them a couple times a day if needed.

Each site had electric and water connections, each site also had a picnic table and fire pit.

Theres a small store near the office area, they sell basics, wood, ice, etc.

Overall, id recommend this place in a heart beat and had a great time there.

Very nice, modern campground with new owners!

This was a great little campground near South Haven, MI. We stayed in a small "RV Site" spot on the campground and that gave us our own electrical/water hookup. Each site comes with a picnic table, fire pit, and ample enough space. We weren't "on top" of the people next to us.

We wanted to camp, and be close to the local beaches and this was a perfect location to camp at night then drive to South Haven Beach (maybe 10 min drive if that). They offered showers, bathrooms and even had kayak/canoe trips if we had stayed there during the day.

The owners checked up on us and told us all about the local brewery and winery spots and offered us tons of info on the area. They're new owners, very friendly and eager to turn this into a successful campground! I'd highly recommend giving this place a try.
