Campsites are spacious. New bathhouses and outdoor kitchen cleaning area. Quiet and peaceful. The hiking in the area is excellent. Adjacent to the Superior Hiking trail for more adventurous types. We had a wonderful time. Will be returning!!!
We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Our campsite was on the hill in the David Dill addition. I appreciated the view of the bay without the tighter constraints of the original campground on the lake. The bathhouse was clean and well maintained plus it was key coded so no worries about unwelcome intruders while showering. Our neighbors were all incredibly friendly. Nice grass - nice picnic table. Perfect breeze made for a fantastic visit. We will plan another visit for certain. There is a full service gas station that you could easily walk to for those forgotten items. Two Harbors is great. Lou’s Fish House, Rustic Inn pies, Castle Danger beer. Such a cute fun area.
We viewed only - this requires a membership. Looks to be a fantastic place if you can visit frequently to make it worth the membership fee.
Overall a good experience. The location, sites, amenities, shower rooms are clean and great. I don’t know why the vibe feels a bit off except to say the people. Seems a little unfriendly. People cutting through sites. Parents not being kind, some kids being over the top.
