We were visiting family nearby and this was a convenient location. We found there to be a lot for kids to do. The water was inviting and there were plenty of beach chairs and you could rent a paddle boat for the afternoon at the office. There is a giant jumping pillow for kids. And a nice area for kids to play.
We were surprised at how small the roadway was. It was very narrow and a bit difficult to maneuver. The sites were plenty wide but not terribly deep. They had a fire pit, picnic table and a small tree. The sites were fully graveled. Looks like there a lot of either seasonal or permanent rentals. The campground was fairly quiet.
We did not like the $5 per person just for family to visit your campground. They were in regular clothes and were not partaking of any of the campground amenities.
Also be aware that although the campground seems to be still expanding there are just portapotties and no shower facilities.
We drew water from the spigot and it was very discolored and one jug we put it in had red flakes in it. Make sure you use your water filter.
