Good location for dispersed camping near Sedona. Only about a 15 minute drive to town and the popular hikes. Was very crowded but not bad if you find a spot away from the groups.
The best first come first serve campground in the park but good luck getting a spot on a weekend. Getting a campsite here is never guaranteed but always worth it. Other than the occasional inconsiderate groups that will jam pack a campsite with cars and tents, this place is epic. “DO NOT ALWAYS BELIEVE “CAMPGROUND FULL” SIGNS! Be sure to check as the rangers have not been updating the signs at all.
Camp sites are pretty tight and will be very crowded during the summer months. Good waves during the right swell though. Convenient spot to beach camp if you live in the OC area.
Tons of space on this dry lake bed. No amenities whatsoever so pack it in and pack it out. Great spot to bring your OHV toys.
Best sites are right next to the river. Spacious with a good amount of privacy depending on the site you get. Easy to float to if you go up river. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes during the summer months Mx
The only nice campsites are the ones next to the river. Sites are too close together so don’t count on getting any privacy. The general store and bathrooms are convenient though.
Shade is limited but the creek running near by makes up for it during the summer.
Beautiful campsites with plenty of space. Best sites are right next to the creek. The only downside is the stench of the pit toilets.
