Clear waters and lots of fish to view from a boat.

The waters are clear that you can see a the fish and the grass below whether or not you snorkel, free-dive or view from a boat. Ample fish to catch and very peaceful and solitary; if you want to get away from all the tourists.

True, old style Florida within 35 minutes of Orlando.

Manatees, manatees, what can I say. Have you ever seen one outside of a Florida zoo? Here the manatees come into the small, spring river in the cooler months (mainly) to warm up. They also have a great large spring towards the end of the river and by the walkway that is an awesome experience free diving into. Thousands of gallons of spring fed water pumps from the bottom and it's a challenge to keep from not being pushed away. Get your snorkel and fins; great views. This is not the warm ocean but it is definitely refreshing.

Peaceful, beautiful ,camping on the Gulf of Mexico.

This is one outstanding campground even primitive camping. You've got the gulf in front with dolphins, large variety of migratory birds that pass through, and the warm, clear waters. The campsite is kept clean and as a bonus if you want to fish or kayak; there is the bay behind you loaded with all bay water species. All around great place to camp. A must visit!!
