Central Wisconsin campground

LOTS OF TICKS be aware to check yourself and any pets you may bring. Site was nice, hike felt transformative and lake was incredible to jump in after.

Starting point for a Katadhin adventure

There are drive up tent sites and lean to sites as well as walk in sites (fairly short walk and easy to locate). Great place to start for an adventure to summit katadhin and tackle knifes edge. I will definitely be back. Hiked past chimney pond (another campsite) with great views of the mountain. That site is hike in only whereas roaring brook has parking.

Camping in the Center of Acadia Nationa Park

Walking distance to the ocean l, the park loop road and miles of hiking trails. Easy to access site using gps or maps provided by national park. They also have primitive walk in sites in the off season. Bathrooms are clean and fresh water, many options to stop for firewood on the road to the campground.

Off the beaten track, 12 tent sites steps away from the Wild River

Entrance for night is $18. Two sets of pit toilets (very clean), clean water for drinking. There is a camp host who has firewood available for $6 bundle.
