Great access to the Hearst Castle

Enjoyed this campground! You can walk to the beach from the campgrounds. The restrooms were fine and there are showers available. Great campground for kids to bike around. It's close to the Hearst Castle. The park ranger gave us a great tip to see the Elephant Seals….what a great experience for all, adults and kids alike.

Equestrian campground in the Yosemite Valley

Great location right in the middle of Yosemite Valley. Great access to beautiful hikes and scenery. The camp sites are spacious. Because it's an equestrian campground, you will smell the horses and stables….be prepared. The river is close to the campgrounds and are refreshing on a hot day.

Right in the middle of Yosemite Valley

This was our first time at this campsite….loved it! It was extremely difficult to get a spot for 4 days but well worth it. Great access to the Half Dome village. There is a free shuttle to get around the valley but I recommend bringing or renting a bike to get around. Beautiful scenery and great hikes to choose from. There was a lot of wildlife to see every where. If you want to try to get an extra day, you can get on a waitlist in the village the morning of the day you need. I suggest you get there super early because people have been known to sleep in line to get a spot. No showers at the campground. Our RV easily fit into our spot and there were a lot of RVs of all sizes. The spots are pretty close to each other and there are a lot if sites at this campground. There is drinking water available at each of the restrooms. You can buy firewood and ice at the campground.

A great campground close to the beach

We love this campground! It's close to home and easy to access. The beach is pretty close to the campgrounds. Restrooms and showers are fine. We have an RV and this is a great campground for your rig. It has full hook-ups (water, electricity, sewer). All the RV sites are pull- through. Some of the sites have very limited grass/ground area if you want to also pitch a tent on your RV site. You get a good breeze since the sites are close to the ocean.

Great place to camp and close to home.

We like this campground because it's close to home. There are a lot of camping spots to choose from. It's a bit of a hike to the beach but totally manageable. The restrooms and showers are nice and clean. If you have an RV, you can have access to electricity and water. There are no pull-through sites, so it might be a challenge to back your larger rig into some of the spots. The campground is pretty close to Camp Pendleton so there may be times when your hear gunshots and helicopters in the distance.
