The sites are clean, the staff is friendly and the extras (pool, pizza, etc.) are on point. We’ll be back!
The sites are big and level with lots of trees in between. The bathrooms were private and clean. The volunteers were really great!
There were two things that detracted from our stay. First, the lake was flooded. One of the volunteers said this isn’t unusual in the spring. We couldn’t use the beach (or laundry which is in the same area) or get to a good spot to access the lake from A loop.
Second, there was no playground in the whole campground. This was a major bummer for our very social 8-year old (cue whining).
All in all, we’d definitely come back if/when the lake isn’t flooded. The lake looks great for kayaking and fishing. And the sites are fantastic.
Simple and small campground in a beautiful area. The sites are great. Bathhouse is simple but clean. No laundry. Wi-fi is questionable.
Great access to hiking trails and scenic overlooks.
One of the best sites and campgrounds we’ve enjoyed.
