The forest is my true home. I go camping as often as I can escape. I am a woods chef & wildcrafter.

Clean with a great view

Mainly for rv's but they do have yurts available and nice tents spots. Very clean bathroom and shower, nice place all around. The tent sites are away from the rv's so the view is spectacular.

Surrounded by forest & Smokey mountains.

Beautiful campground on the side of a mountain, just ouside of Hot Springs, NC. Very well designed & built campground so each sight has privacy and a view of the smokey mountain forest all around you. Very clean campground. Nice bathrooms.

Great tent sites

This park was mostly rv's when we were there so we had the tent camping area to ourselves. Nice showers and bathrooms. They have a pool but we didnt use it, the spring is right down the road. They have tubes for you to take & float down the river, really nice people.

Very nice, except the train

Right on the French Broad River, you can hear the river all day and night it is so peacful. Beautiful campground with great campstore right at the entrance that sells everything. Large campsites with great privacy foliage, picnic tables, & fire rings. One drawback, the train runs along side the entire campground, day and night. I still recommend this campground.

Great views

Small but beautiful camground right on the cliffs of the atlantic ocean. Campsights and bathrooms are clean. Easy walking access to the beach. Stunning views of the ocean from several but not all campsites.

Barebones & awesome

Very simple campground, very open with little seperation of sites. The stars at night are worth the open space, the view is incredible.

The experience of seeing the redwoods will live in my heart forever. I drove across the country to see them, & I'd do it again in a second. This campground lets you sleep beneath these giants, breath their air, & be near them if only for the day. Beautiful camground, very well maintained, great facilities.

Busy but beautiful

Not much privacy at all in the campsites, it is an island. Great sea breeze, & stunningly beautiful beaches. The Fort is very interesting, great pictures & info. Rent a kayak to see more of the park, the water is great for paddling since you are protected by the island from strong currents.

Great hiking trails

Big campground in a beautiful park that really shows you natural Florida. Not enough privacy on each campsite, personally, but still nice. The hiking trails & the boardwalk are awesome, love the long views over the prairie and canopy.

Serene & simply beautiful

Great little campground, clean with good natural foliage dividers between campsites. Nice walking trails, & a gentle river for an easy paddle.

Lots of trees for shade!

Very nice campground, the oak canopy makes great shade in the heat. Clean campground with good showers. The spring is spectacular! Natural open spring with lots of plant & animals to see in the water & around the park. Large grassy area for picnicking was really nice.

Beautiful trails, clean campsites

The trails around the park were my favorite part, there are crystal springs & the spring fed river meandering all through the park. The campground is clean & quiet, we camped during the week, weekends are quite busy. The spring is beautiful & refreshing in the florida heat.
