The campsites are terribly unlevel. I can honestly say that is the only negative. The campground is very shady & they just improved the bathhouse. The park itself is very spread out. The marina is beautiful & you can rent pontoon boats. Although it is a bit pricey. There are plenty of places for some good fishing. This is such a beautiful park. We love it!
David Crockett is such a family friendly park. It’s a great place for fly fishing, walk the trails or swim. The kids have plenty of space to ride bikes & make new friends. We have never been disappointed when we camp here. Most mornings I can sit outside & watch the deer grazing as I have my coffee.
My family & I come almost every spring break! The sites are level, shaded & beautifully landscaped. One of the few state parks with sewer. I highly recommend Topsail!
