Best tidepools

Salt Point was so much fun. The ocean lulls you to sleep and the gentle sunrise through the trees wakes you up. The plants here are great, so many succulents and wild flowers. A short drive/bike ride is the coast where you can find some amazing hiking and some of the best tidepools I have ever seen. The hosts are very accommodating and kind. This place is a campers dream

Hot Springs Central

Amazing campground. RV sites and tent sites. Best bathrooms you’ve ever seen at a campground. Hot showers and they even had lotion, disposable razors and Q-tips by the sinks. The camp hosts are super rad people and can tell you whatever you want to know about the area. They host bonfires on weekends which was really fun. It’s notably windy there, at least when we went. Being in tents it was a little challenging cooking sometimes, but it was worth it! I think next time we are just gonna go for one of their trailers for rent. All in all great views and great people.

First come, first serve

This place is great for swimming in the summer as the lake gets really warm. Across the lake is an amazing rope swing not for the faint of heart (its big). You need a floatation device like a blow up with oars to get there. 300 foot walk from cars to campground so bring a dolly/wagon. $15 a night fee. Bring a lot of drinking/dishes water (no spigots, no sinks). No RV sites/hookups. Short drive back down Bowman Lake rd to the yuba river. Cold water but beautiful hiking and something called the emerald pools. Rucker lake rd is a dirt road! AWD recommended but not totally needed
