We stayed at the group site at the event center. It was more like clamping than real actual camping. At the event center theres a full kitchen and a bathroom. It was super clean and nice. If i had known that before going I would packed better for that kind of camping. The sites were mostly all at a slant so it was a bit uncomfortable in terms of the sleep situation. There may have been some that were on normal level ground but from what we experienced and the ones we mainly saw they were not. There was a nice pretty steep but short trail that led from our site to the lake which was gorgeous as we sipped on our coffee and the pine tree covered campground was a dream.
I have stayed at many campgrounds throughout Joshua tree including Indian cove, jump rock and white tank and their all amazing! It’s so much fun climbing up and down those rocks as I’m preparing breakfast or dinner and looking for lizards etc. the only annoying thing was the kangaroo rats that wouldn’t leave our site due to the olive oil I brought with me. I think they liked it! Lol!!
I camped at this campground 3 times in the month of mid/late April and it was absolute perfection. The weather was ideal. The location is in a prime spot to all the hikes and spots we wanted to explore. All the campers were so friendly and sweet. A very enjoyable experience and I can’t wait to go back again next April!
I absolutely fell in love with the campground that’s nestled in the sand dunes surrounded by the most gorgeous beaches. We didn’t have a reservation and just showed up and didn’t make the best choice with our campsite because it was shady which looked stunning but we were absolutely frozen the entire time! I can’t wait to go back this summer!
Campsite #9 and it was right by the bathroom but the site was spacious and waking up nestled amongst all those redwoods is just the best. Host was super nice and accommodating and the girls loved riding the scooters all around the campground. Slugs and meets all over the place . The mosquitoes drove us nuts so make sure you have candles and repellent!
This campground has great bathroom facilities and has a creek that runs through it that the kids loved playing in all day. The slugs were hanging out in trees all around us and it was so much fun looking for them. The sites were very spacious and this has probably been one of my favorite campgrounds!
