Nice campground with big trees, pull through sites, close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and friendly staff. If you like to hike or mountain bike or want to spend time at the beach (summer only!), this is a great area.
We stayed here on the way to Colorado. It is a nice easy in and out campground that has great concrete pull through sites and it makes it easy to get in, go to sleep and wake up and head out. I wouldn't stay here for anything other than that but for a quick stop, it is a great alternative. Great easy location as well.
We stayed here for a week in May and had a great time. Wonderful site, very good distance between sites. We weren't on the island but on the newer area and the sites were large and spacious. However, on the island they were a bit closer. Overall, we really liked the site. The bathrooms were amazing and kept very clean!
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was a bit pricey. But I guess you get what you pay for.
We have stayed here several times. Wooded sites and a decent amount of space. The staff is friendly and they are very helpful in finding a good site based on what you are looking for. The campground is convenient to Sleep Bear Dunes, Traverse City and all the nearby activities. I would give it 5 stars but it is a bit pricey. We always stay at the RV Park and not the Resort. The Resort is for big rigs only.
