Kendall camping area is the first camping area on this dirt road, and it’s quite nice, very flat, right along the mineral creek! We parked here for a few nights and rode our motorcycle down to the trail head which is at South Fork Mineral Creek campground. There are several other free campsites along the dirt road before you reach the trail head. The trail goes to ice lake which is very beautiful! Close to 4 mile hike up & 4 mile down!

Also some neat waterfalls if you follow the south fork mineral creek roughly a mile up from south fork mineral creek campground.

Nice little site with easy pull thru spot for bigger rigs, and some flat grassy sites for tent/car camping too. Nice little restroom & shower with hot water. Real nice folks working here. Fun peacocks roaming the grounds

We found a little gravel track off the road and parked for the night. Some cows roaming nearby. Served as a good free camp out for us to check out Carlsbad caverns the next day.
