Great for a quick over night

We stayed here for one night on our way to Acadia National park. The park was lovely, sites were pull throughs for our 20 foot pull behind. Although we did not get to explore much we enjoyed our time here. We would definitely come back to explore it further.

Quiet clean and great for families.

This campground was the perfect spot to hand the hammock for the week. Close to Bar Harbor as well as many areas of the park. They have a clean bathhouse, swimming pool, waterfront with a dock for reading or fishing or just watching the sun rise. Sites are mostly for tent campers with several the will support small compact trailers or Class C. All sites have electric and water but no black water hookups. They will come pump you out for a $25 fee, which we thought was reasonable. This park was very quiet and personnel who worked there very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Does not disappoint

This is our second time stopping at this park while on our annual trip to to Big Bend National Park. It’s convenient location right off I-10 makes it an is obvious choice, but unlike others that offer may offer the same convenience, this one offers a very comfortable experience. We only stayed one night but I look forward to the charm, the quiet, and great amenities. Our pups appreciate the fenced in dog area to blow off some steam after a 9 hour drive. The humans appreciate the cleanliness, the nighttime ambiance of all the decorative lighting, the free wifi, and the chickens. Who doesn’t love chickens! This place will ALWAYS be on my list for our overnight stay when traveling on I-10. Highly recommend it.

A quiet little Gem!

What a gem of a park! We only stayed one night so I did not get to use any amenities except for the DOG Park! What a wonderful amenity with the automatic lights for after dark. Park was very clean and quiet. The way the site was set up was truly delightful. Picnic table in just the right place, Oak tree in just the right place, outdoor decorative lighting, awesome fire pit. I really wish I had time to stay longer. This place will be a“must” stay the next time I come thru. Highly recommend!

Great New RV Park in Terlingua

This is the very first time we have stayed at this RV Park…well this week was EVERYONE’S first time staying at this RV park. It just had it’s soft” opening the week of Christmas. So although it is new and still working on completion of all their facilities(only sewer and electric currently available) the owners went out of their way with ensuring they did daily water deliveries to All campers. Mind blowing since when booking we knew that the water was not yet ready to go so fully expected to have to run out occasionally to fill up. That service alone makes me give it 5 stars but there is so much more that these owners do to make sure your stay is enjoyable. They answer all your questions about the local area, advise you of any weather that is concerning, provide great restaurant recommendations and encourage all the park guests to come together every evening around the community campfire to talk about their Days adventure, or your travel journeys. This was my favorite part(safe outdoor social distancing, of course). They have plans to have a bath house, dog park, and community area with games. I can not wait to return next year just to see how they progress. My gut tells me that this will be the“Oasis” destination in the desert. Thank you Chris and Allison for the wonderful memories of our first trip to Terlingua!

Great family friendly campground with lots of activities

Best place to camp if your planning to visit Providence Canyon. Campground is large with lots of amenities. On site marina with boat launch so bring your boat. The lake is gorgeous! Sites are well laid out but wide open to every one else. Not many that are very private. The campground has a miniature golf course on site for a fun time with the kids. Bath house are clean and well kept. Downside is other than walking the roads with in the park, not many nature trails. Dogs didn’t mind either way.

Great place for a weekend.

This is our first time to this state park. There are 2 separate campgrounds. One that is right on the beach with plenty of beach access and the other that is called Live Oak campground. This is the one we stayed at. The sites are all level with hard packed sand. They are rather small sites though. Deepen enough for a fifth wheel but not very wide. Your fifth wheel and your truck is all that will fit in most sites. Not a lot of extra room left for all your accessories. The tails are great and be sure to bring your bike. The only negative is the amount of Ticks that your dogs will pick up if you take them on the trails. Be prepared the are tiny little devils! The park is right off a busy highway so depending on the site you choose you will hear a lot of roadway noise. We were in site # 89. Next time I will chose one well away from the highway. All and all a beautiful place for a weekend getaway!
