Must camp

Quiet shady camp

It was hot in the valley so we retreated to the nearest mountains. What a quiet little camp. No huge RV’s or anything. Our 6ft wide, 20ft long trailer seemed too big. Our spot accommodated us well. The trails are fabulous. There’s a Track Trail that just opened and a motorized track wheelchair making this park very accessible. Not very many electric sites but that was ok as the temps were cooler (60’s at night)

Confusing layout lacking signage

It’s confusing to find the campsite. No signs directing you where to go. You have to drive behind the sites and pull through. Sites are small and you’re basically packed together. power and water are on the right instead of left. Bathroom ok, shower curtain looks dirty.

A true resort

Spent a week at Bar Run. Golfed every day on the most beautiful and challenging 18 hole course - designed by Dan Hickson. Campground is new with concrete pads. Back-ins have grass, Pull throughs have a turf pad. We stayed in a pull through. The pool is amazing with a lazy river and inner tubes to float on with a large 1-4ft area. Brand new and still under construction. Lifeguards are on duty. Showers are gorgeous. Laundry room has 4 washers and dryers-coin operated. There is a little fitness gym with a treadmill, bike and weights. Access to the Umpqua river-bring your fishing pole.

Rare USDA camp with power and water

Stayed one night and loved Eagle Lake. Rare USDA campground with power and water. Lovely forest area shades the camp. Lots of families with bikes and dogs all on leashes. Great bike paths to ride or walk right next to the lake.

The best fishing

We stayed 2 nights, went fishing and had a blast. No electricity or water. Showers are old-you have to buy shower coins for 6 min of hot water. But the river, fishing and view is gorgeous. Most campers have a generator for power but it has to be turned off at 10pm.

Good campground

We stayed one night at Homolovi and it was nice. Only one bathroom facility. Very cool ruins but we didn’t get to explore too much. It gets hot in summer-be prepared.

Wonderful campground

We had a pull through for one night on our trip. It was an easy hookup. The trails are a 1mile hike from camp. It was hot so we didn’t get all the way. The bathrooms are ok. We didn’t check out the showers.
