Nice Campground

We spent a week at this campground. The spots are large which is nice. No water hookups at sites but there are spigots throughout the campground except after Oct 31. On Nov 1 they started shutting off all the water spigots and we had to get water from the faucet on the outside of the camp store. Looks like there are 30 and 50 amp service at all sites. Bathrooms remained open and were heated. Showers were nice - no temp control but there is warm water you just have to press the button a few times to get the cold water out of the pipes. One time Park entrance fee. Some of the sites are more rugged/“naturey” than others. Can have 1 RV and 1 tent or 2 tents on each site. Reception is ok. We have Verizon and I was able to use my hotspot at times. Sometimes it was great, other times slow, other times non-existent. Some people were able to stream sports games though.

Great campground close to dunes

We stayed in the RV lot for 1 night. You can rent sand boards and sleds here if the weather is right. There is also a restaurant with food that was better than we expected it to be and a gas station. Bathrooms were fantastic. Showers were some of the best I’ve seen with a private dressing area and hooks/shelves to put your dry clothes on. There is a dishwashing station also. Lots are close together. Super close to the dunes - you get a great view of them from the campground. There’s also a small playground for kids. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

Nice Campground

We stayed here one night. Sites were not as crammed as some NP campgrounds we have been to. Bathrooms were clean. There is a dish washing station but it was closed due to time of year - the water spigots were still functional though. On Verizon I got 2 bars and was able to use my hotspot to work on my laptop. There’s a trail to the dunes from the campsites and a small camp store that is open 4-7pm that sells firewood, snacks and essentials. No showers here but there are wash off stations at the dunes. Also, you can pay $6 for a hot shower at the Sand Dunes Lodge about 10 minutes away. Some campsites actually have views of the dunes and mountains. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great Little Campground

Such a great campground just outside of Lusk WY. Pull through sites that are full hookup. Very clean bathrooms and showers (newly remodeled). Also have laundry services. Campground owners are super friendly and helpful. Also a very pet friendly place. They have WiFi that works pretty good. Have had to use my hotspot some when it cuts out. If looking for places to walk there is about a .2 mile loop around the campground, a rest stop 1/2 a mile away with a walking path and also a gravel road across the highway from the campground that barely has traffic. Town has a nice grocery and hardware store. People here are super friendly. Only downside is that it is along a busy highway so you hear some road noise but if you’re in a trailer with windows closed it isn’t very noticeable. Has been a great experience!
