Full campground on the 4th of July. We’ll maintained, with firewood and ice on hand for purchase. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned everyday. We saw a camp host come and pick up any debris left and ran a blower over the parking area.
We had four families each stay in the C loop. C13 and C15 have a joint tent area, which was strange, but since we were together it wasn’t an issue. For future use E39 backs right up to C13 and would make a nice group of 3 sites together. C13 had full sun during the day. Of the four sites we booked, C16 was the most private. C14 was pretty open to the road.
Noted A loop are the sites to try for and some of the sites along the creek/trail in the D and E loops.
We had a lovely weekend on Odell Lake. Fully booked campground on the weekend of 4th of July. Reserve early. Well maintained. We stayed in site 23. We didn't have lake access, but an easy walk down to the boat dock, or the trail that runs along creeks and to the lake. There is beach area for swimming just off the trail. This is a powerboat friendly lake. It got a bit chilly still in early July at night, but there are plenty of firewood to purchase. There are some interesting fish restoration projects happening from the lake up the creek that runs along the campground. There are several nice sites by the water that I made notes for future reference:
14 is a good single lakeside site
18/17 would be great to reserve side/by/side as they are a bit open to each other
20 is nice, but right next to the boat ramp.
