Gateway to the Delta

Lots of fishing and boating activities. Campsites are spaced out. Easy access to the water. Family favorite.

RV Yes

If you have a pull behind or 5th wheel trailer, this campsite is for you. The RV sites make this a breeze to back into and set up. This is the best ocean camping on the coast. Walk a mile on the beach and you are at the old fisherman’s wharf. If you walk another 1/2 mile, you’ll be at the tourist restaurants. The huge morro bay rock never gets old to look at. Make sure you bring your binoculars to see the many different types of sea life and birds. The sea lions and otters are always a pleasure to see. They make for hours of entertainment.

Juniper is the Name

I’ve been coming to this place for years. This is literally the best place to see a sunset of “The Bay”. There are a lot of trails for hiking. However the draw back to this place is the amount of cyclists on the narrow and worn out pavement that we call roads. If you are queasy about motion, plan on bringing a plastic bag to vomit in. There are no guard rails, so if your driver isn’t paying attention off you go down the mountain. Once your are settled in, this becomes a very peaceful and enjoyable campsite. One other thing, no matter how hot it is you’ll never be able to escape the howling winds at night. Good tent stakes and warm gear is a must.

Love this place

Great place to stay before plotting your tour of Yosemite. Camp here and drive to Yosemite Valley or head up to Toulumne Meadows.

COVID 19 Get-Away

Excellent campground if you’re looking for a place to stay and it’s raining. We had a lot of fun watching the cars go by. You’re about 30 feet from highway 89. Traffic nonstop. Felt like a zoo animal. Thank god for the fire ring and port a potty. No showers.

Family fun for all ages

Excellent spot for the whole family. Beware, if you are pulling a trailer brush up on your backing up skills. Very tight and narrow. Best time to get in the park is during the day. Not much difference between back in sites versus pull through sites. Very clean facilities. Close to everything. Everyone is nice and friendly. #162 is a good level site for RV.

Jeep’s plus buddies equals a good time

Great place to hang out with your 4WD buddies and negotiate the obstacles. Group camp site is the best. You can pack a lot of people and rigs in this area.

Bring your own coziness

Very nice and tucked away lookout tower facing the castle crags mountains. Lots of flying bugs and high vegetation area. Nice fire pit and picnic table. Bring all your gear. There is absolutely nothing around but what you bring in. Totally off the grid. Oh yeah there is a cell tower that gives you 5 BARS. Live streaming no problem.

Expect less received more

This campground is a hidden jewel. There are many sites next to the ocean. This campground delivers a stay next to the beautiful coastal waters which allows the camper to view whale migration, sea lions swimming and a quick visit to glass beach and the adjacent lighthouse. Ft Bragg is a nice little town to visit have dinner and drinks.

Tucked in the woods

Had to check out this spot. I pass it all the time and have been dying to check it out. Glad I did. Level pad for camp trailers. Fire pits updated and bbq on every site. Site 49 is a nice site.
