Peaceful, Quiet, Beautiful Getaway

Great State Park with the perfect little tent camping loop. Only 12 spots. Gravel road/loop. Decently private and not on top of each other with tons of vegetation all around. Walk-in sites but not too far and they have carts you can use. Gravel pads perfectly level and very neat and clean fire pits as well as a separate grill at every sight. The bath house is super clean and they have separate private showers! Hiking, fishing, breathtaking views, tons to do in the area! Definitely recommend camping here!
We had site #9, but 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 all looked really awesome! 12 is the smallest. 10 is the furthest from parking lot.

Peace for Mind, Body & Soul

We were at the Lower Campgrounds. It was perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful, did not even notice other campers around. (I can’t speak for the Daggett Run side though). Bathhouse was very clean. Had a good time fishing at the lake and stopping for ice cream at the beach shop is a must!

All you need...

Our go to State Park for camping as it is pretty close to home. Standard State Park with all the amenities you need. We are tent campers/ non electric (no pets/ no kids). So we don’t need much other than some privacy. Some sites are closer together than others though. Decent bathhouses. Town of North East is about 10mins drive away which is nice when it rains when you want to grab a bite to eat.

Perfect even in the Rain

First time camping at this park and it was perfect. Even though it rained all weekend, we explored the area by car, even tried some fishing off the pier and we got to get some much needed rest and relaxation in. D Loop seemed like the best loop (for tent campers such as us). Pretty spacious between sites. No pets though. B and C loop felt like the spaces were very close to each other. A loop was closed at this point. Bathhouses can use an upgrade but has flush toilets and hot showers which is all you need.
