Improvement road

This are has been hit by multiple hurricanes, flooding and fires. The rebuilding process is taking time but it is on it's way. Large viewing ponds of alligators, turtles and birds are surrounded by walking and biking trails for all different levels of activity. The sites are only full rv hookup because thats where the money is. Hopefully primative tent sites will open in the next year or two. Laundry, bathhouse and wifi are available. Ice, camping needs are NOT available for purchase but only an 8 minute drive away. Slight constant hum of traffic can be heard otherwise very quiet camp.

So many employees

So many employees yet the bathrooms were dirty and trash was on the ground. Many bbq stands were broken and tent pads under water. Otherwise, camp was good. Way off the beaten path, quiet, spacious, lots of water which means lots of mosquitoes. Camp host had pet off leash so rules are not followed. Great discounts for military.

Bad

Already left a review, just trying to add pictures.

Great stop

Clean bathrooms with decent showers. $1.50 for each laundry machine. Dirt/paved roads, your gear and rig will get muddy or sandy. Great staff, close to commissary and exchange. Fun things to do on base. Department of defense ID is required for entry!

Nice stay

Loop A space 3 tent camped right next to the water. All sites have w/e, bathrooms were not the best. Dirty, broken or difficult to use flushers, no paper towels. Campsites and grounds were good. Clean, organized and equipped. Grass was long and damp so we camped on gravel. The long grass had many many tiny bugs and mosquitoes.

Nice spot

Large wooded space, free laundry, excellent showers in heated/air conditioned rooms. Hiking trails, pond and fort lewis nearby. Only 1/2 hour drive to Savannah.

First come first served

Whether camping in a tent or renting a cabin, all are $20 per night. 🤔 Beautiful lake, flushing toilets and hot showers. I am passing through but see others boating, fishing and hunting. Laundry available upon request and current availability.

Rv park, not a campground

I arrived with hopes of staying for three nights. Unfortunately, most RV's here are long term & seasonal residents. One one bathroom had flushing toilets and one was clogged, over flowing garbage, paid showers, extremely rough broken roads made it difficult to get in and out of campsite. I was scared in my space and asked to be moved out in the open, not usually a preference for me. Lori was polite, answers the phone quickly and has lots of answers to my questions. That was great. Other than Lori's wonderful presence, this "camp" was a massive let down. I will be leaving at sun up.

Quiet retreat

Guests are very kind, quiet and respectful of others and of the campground. Everything was clean and in working order.

Next to hwy

The dry tent campgrounds were very large with picnic table fire pit and 2 large trash bins. There is a swimming pool, volleyball available and other amenities plus laundry for a fee. The bathrooms had many stalls with 88 options Mini sinks . Overall the sites were dirty, wet, and very close to the highway so there was lots of noise. The bathrooms were the dirtiest I have seen since I have driven from Oregon! So many amenities, that everything is old dirty and uncared for.

Family friendly

At least 20 lake front dry tent sites, second row back from the lake is tent sites or small rigs with power. There are swimming docks, a boat launch, sunning lawn and a newly added concession stand. The water shallow for a long distance of beautiful colorful rocks (like Lake McDonald) and perfect for swimming of all ages. Camp crowd was quiet and well behaved perhaps because no alcohol is allowed? Great stop on the way to Glacier National Park. Why not 5 stars? Bathrooms and campsites were dirty, potable water is hard to get.

Party place

This place had everything i could possibly want for an affordable price. Boat, kayak and other equipment rentals, restaurant, bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, fishing dock, swimming area, shaded lawns and picnic tables. Only $15 for a dry tent space with shade and view of the lake! Why not give it 5 stars? The visitors are primarily young, drinking, playing loud music, driving fast and kicking up dust. It was annoying but tolerable. Staff was kind, knowledgeable, location is close to I90 and easy to find. Easily a few hundred people here on a summer weekend, so be prepared. Be sure to check out the turtles swimming around the dock. Lots of wildlife.
