Bear Lake is the water you will enjoy when visiting this campground. New renovations planned starting fall 2021. Last chance for dry camping (vault toilets and showers possible at Rendezvous Campground).
The access to Bear Lake is great for kayaks, paddle boards, and swimming!
Crystal blue waters… Enjoy the solitude and spacious sites.
Able to get a last minute cancelation and book 2 nonconsecutive nights. Great location to south entrance of Grand Tetons National Park. Sites are level and paved. Paths from camp site are available to restroom (no showers).
Also, good proximity to Jackson, WY.
Sunrise Campground sites are immersed in trees to give you a surrounding cozy and comfortable feeling. Back in sites include a fire ring and sturdy picnic table… Not sure about the pull-thru sites.
For site 15, the sunrise peeked thru the trees into my tent. As I got going, I walked around the park to find a rest area only 0. 5 miles from my campsite (great if you need flushing toilets, running water and a beautiful view of Bear Lake).
Looking forward to a return visit to this campground!
Such a beautiful site with site #7 the best access to the lake. Easy in and space to set up camp. Site included fire ring/pit and picnic table.
At nearly 10000 feet elevation, Temps were coll and air refreshing!
What a gem! Great to see so many campsites nestled in the trees. There is ample spacing between sites. Lakefront sites are worth the effort to reserve!
Campsites are level and nice amenities to boot!
There are showers (with some room for improvement).
Simple and safe… Fifteen reservable sites via online or phone. Equestrians, mountain bikers, and hikers seem to use this park often. Although no utilities… there is a shelter, restroom and trash recepticle. Campfires are permissible. Hiking trails head off from this park that cover many miles. A steep hike up Sugar Loaf will wake you up in the morning.
