Great little lake and good camping

We have come here a few times before. In the RV area, the spots are paved and there are no hook ups. Water is available and the restrooms were clean. This place is first come only. No reservations. It can fill up in the nice weather months. We were just there midweek in the middle of July and it was almost emoty.the days were warm but the lake is great! Fun to paddleboard on. Nights were cool with a little monsoon rain.

The lake is spectacular!

The whole Lake Tahoe area was packed during our weekend trip. The campground is a mile from one of Tahoe's dog friendly beaches "Tallac" kiva parking lot. It's just across the 89 from the campground road. Fallen Leaf lake was amazing. Get a spot closer to the lake or you will be hauling paddleboards and other toys . The downside was the crowds and generators. We will come back though.

Great Spot, but far from all of the National Park sites

The road is bumpy in, so plan on that. We pulled in our R V with no problems. The lake is small but beautiful. It has a lava flow going right into it. Great for hiking, biking, paddleboard, kayaking, whatever. It is a great place on its own, but if you are trying to see the Volcano National Park, it's a bit of a drive. We loved camping here.

Your Experience depends on your site

We have stayed at a few spots here. If you are by the freeway it can be noisy. If you are by the river, it's awesome. Clean bathrooms and showers. Convenient access to Interstate 5. The Oregon Park staff are friendly and helpful.

Lot's to do around here

We camped in an rv spot with our trailer. They are very strict about quiet hours. There is a pool, gameroom, restaurant and store. Easy access to Mt. St. Hellens, Ape cave and Yale lake. Very beautiful area!

Nice spot

Beautiful but trying to add a second night can be confusing.

Beautiful area

Call ahead! This place is off the beaten path. We got there with our rv and they luckily had one space for us. The 1000 springs area is awesome. Great paddleboarding. Waterfalls and hot springs all around.. Check out Shoshone falls nearby.

Good place to pull off the highway

Nothing fancy. We pulled in after a long drive and found a cheap place to spend the night. This place is older and not very fancy. The staff was nice and helpful. They have clean hot showers and full hook ups for our RV.

Nice Camping

We chose site 10 because it was close to the stream and shady . The hosts warned us about the hammer noise from a water pump close by. My daughter's wanted to be near the water.. we heard the noise,, but It didn't bother us. Good Mountain biking nearby. Just a heads up, Morman Lake is dry.
