Quiet and Secluded

Found a great little location on the creek. The area was busy, but the spots were separated very well. Off the main road we found a lightly traveled side road that led to the perfect camping spot. While the main road is well taken care of, some of the side roads definitely require an off-road vehicle. This is definitely going to be a place that we revisit.

Busy, but nice

Found a great little spot that provided plenty of privacy. Lots of recreational vehicles throughout the day, but the night was quiet. It’s right on the Colorado Trail, so it’s a great place to go on a walk. We’ll be back to this spot again, well worth it.

Nice spot, if a little busy

This spot in particular was nice because it was both wide open and had decent coverage. A higher clearance vehicle is necessary, as this put my skid plates and step sides to the test. That being said, saw a few older Subarus tooling around, so it’s not completely inaccessible. It was a little busy with passersby during the day, but got very quiet at night. I’d stay here again, but I’d definitely avoid it in the busier holidays and much of the summer.

Moderately busy, well spaced out

There is some solid hiking very close by. The mill nearby kind of ruins the scenery, as there is a massive pipeline that runs next to the camping area. That being said, there was plenty of room for the dog to run. There were other people around, but none within sight or hearing distance. Nights were pretty cool, but the days were perfect.
