Don’t Forget the Jalama Butger

My favorite beach camping site. They used to be first come first served but they’ve been comverted to the rwaer atIon system most everybody uses these days. They now only have 16 sItes you can get without a reservation and on the beach is not one of them. If you can make plans six months ahead of time and get a beach front site then do it. these sites are secluded and you can’t beat sleeping on the sand. There is a park for the little ones and a store and restaurant. You MUST try the Jalama Burger. Peiple visit from all over just for the burger.

Beautiful Campground

Tent friendly and lots of shade. This is one of my favorite locations. Plenty of campsites with lots of room at each site. Bathrooms and showers are clean and the location is cliff side with panaramic ocean views.

Excenllent Beach Camping

Excellent beach camping and tent friendly. plenty of shade and nearby restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend this location.

Great RV Camping

No tents but trailers and RV’s are welcome. Imagine camping at the beach with all the amenities and close to everything you’d want to do in SoCal. There are stores and restaurants nearby for those forgotten items or a quick meal. Super Mex has excellent Mexican food and a few storefronts down you’ll find sushi.

Last Minute Jewel

This is a first come first serve campground and the first time I’ve ever stayed in a campground where campers are paired together to maximize the space. A little concerned initially because I was camping with the family but it ended up working out just fine. My previous experience with camping in the valley just enforced my desire to find seclusion at higher elevations but We really enjoyed meeting a bunch of interesting people from all over the world and didn’t have any issues with sharing the campsite with other campers. Last minute camping is very difficult in Yosemite so this is an excellent option if you can get in. Recommend getting in line super early in peak season. Water levels were high and the valley was green and abundant with waterfalls.
