If you’re heading south on 81 into Tennessee, there really is no better place to stop for the night past this point. Staff were friendly and sites include cable, electric, water, and sewer.
This campground is fine, albeit way overpriced for just electric hookups. I could definitely see why it might be worth it To families when their water park is open during the summer. There are some really nice sites but mine is way off level as are many of the 50 amp spaces nearest to the bathrooms. The park has a lot of trails and is close to good shopping and DC. Bathrooms are clean, functional, and heated. Staff are friendly and they’ve got a park host on site to deal with issues as they arise.
This place is a wreck but the electric is good and it's slightly quieter than sleeping in a truck stop.
Beautiful quiet campground with water, electric, and wifi!
Camped here in early fall. The area around here is beautiful with lots of sights and trails. This park has a wide variety of individuals and many long term residents but the staff were pretty friendly and the lake is beautiful (especially in the early morning).
This place was further off the beaten path than expected and was a beautiful location. I camped in late November so water was shut off but electric worked well. Bathrooms were pretty gross and the facilities in general just felt fairly decrepit. All that said, I'm a sucker for waterfront camping and would definitely check it out again with a full fresh tank.
First off - nothing against Hereford, but it’s a cattle town. It smells like cattle. If that’s a problem, maybe look elsewhere. That said, this place is amazing! Several spaces all with water, sewer and electric - ALL FREE! There’s a nice pond which was completely filled with geese when I visited (Late November) but that just added to the ambiance. The space is in the town so you do get quite a bit of train, and car noise.
This place was a godsend. I called frantically searching for a space in late November and was greeted by a lovely person who got me all set up over the phone. She had me call as I was approaching and came down and met me at the office to check me in. It had water (with defroster on the podium), sewer and functional electric. Unfortunately the weather was garbage and I didn’t get to explore the lake but it was a great experience none the less.
Only came through for a weekend but the sites were well maintained, and felt separated enough to have some privacy. Staff were amazing about maintaining safe conditions for campers. All possible precautions seemed to be taken.
