Fun Trip!

Hike in electric spot that overlooked the lake. Easy to walk down and swim in the water!

There are showers & restrooms, grill & fire-pit, trash bins, & a beach swimming area.

40 minutes outside of Hot Springs but definitely worth the drive.

Great Camping Experience

Spectacular views and lots of places to explore in the Cherokee National Forest.

We checked out the Ocoee Whitewater Center, Mac Point Beach, Clemmers Trailhead, went whitewater rafting and floated down the river behind the campsite.

Would love to visit again and check out more of the many trails in the area.

Beautiful Spot

Beautiful spot close to the water. Secluded area that can be reached via GPS coordinates ONLY (we learned this after trying to check in at the Dale Hollow campground).

Things to know:

  • there was no dumpster for trash -hike in spot with vault toilet
  • 45 minutes from Standing Stone State Park
