Well maintained & Gorgeous Views

We enjoyed a quick weekend trip to the Scotts Bluff National Monument and Wildcat Hills this weekend. We stayed at The Robidoux RV Park in Gering, NE. The RV Park is owned and maintained by the city of Gering. It was located next to the Five Rocks Amphitheater and had a shared green space with a nice playground for children. There was a little basketball court and an additional large green space in the center of the grounds. Almost all the lots are paved and pull-throughs. It was a nice little RV Park. The only drawback was no open fires; so no s’mores on this trip. My youngest little girl decided to “catch” all the trash cans (dumpsters) and counted 5 within the park - hence the slightly strange picture of a delighted child in front of a dumpster 🤪

Clean, affordable

This was such a nice experience! My parents were able to rent a deluxe cabin right next to our campsite. My parents don’t “camp,” so this was perfect for a family vacation. My children got to camp and experience s’mores and starlit skies with their Nana and Papa! Pros: full hookups, clean & well kept grounds, nice playground for children, deluxe cabins have full bathroom with shower and full kitchen Cons: this campground was further away from all the tourist attractions than we realized (so that’s on us, not them 😉)

Just a place to park

Pros: perfectly level spot, venue on property for live band & party, little cafe (although I just saw a post saying they closed the cafe), friendly & helpful staff

Cons: rundown, dirty (Amenities list a pond to swim in. Pond was full of algae and was more of a mud hole. Swing set outside of onsite venue was rusty, old and dated back to the 80’s), water supply was full of black gunk that nearly ruined our system (sanitized everything upon arriving home), no shade, no fire pits, picnic table was unusable without a table and bench cover set (deeply warped boards, peeling paint and jagged wood.)

Serene, clean and beautiful

We really enjoyed our short two night stay at Fishberry Campground. My girls had a blast exploring by the pond and looking at the wildflowers.

Perfect for a quick stay

Spots are pretty close. Full hookups for a great price.

Awesome amenities

We were nestled between the lake, the playground and the dog off-leash area. Our girls were able to go back and forth independently, as we could see them from our campsite. We’ll definitely be back!
