Five-Star Review for Bonner County Fairground Campground

My recent stay at the campground at Bonner County Fairground in Pondray, ID was absolutely phenomenal!

We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish and we can't recommend this campground enough. First and foremost, the campground is incredibly well-maintained and clean. The facilities are top-notch and it's evident that the staff takes great pride in keeping everything in excellent condition.

The campground itself is spacious and well-designed, offering plenty of room for RVs and other camping setups. They do not allow tents at this park. The campsites were level and provided ample space for my RV, as well as a picnic table. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the campground, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. What truly sets this campground apart is its convenient location. Being situated at the Bonner County Fairground, we had the opportunity to explore the fairgrounds and attend any events or activities that happened to be taking place during our stay.

Moreover, the campground is ideally situated to explore the breathtaking natural beauty of Pondray and the surrounding area. I took full advantage of the numerous hiking and biking trails nearby, immersing myself in the stunning landscapes and fresh mountain air. The picturesque scenery and abundant wildlife made every outdoor adventure truly unforgettable.

Another aspect that impressed me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

They were always available to answer any questions, provide recommendations for local attractions and dining options, and ensure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. In terms of amenities, the campground had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The electrical hookups were reliable, and the availability of potable water and dump stations made it easy to manage my RV's needs.

Lastly, I must mention the incredible local attractions in the Pondray area. From the nearby Lake Pend Oreille, perfect for boating, fishing, and swimming, to the charming town with its unique shops and restaurants, there was always something exciting to explore. We also had the opportunity to visit nearby national forests and parks, immersing myself in nature and taking in the breathtaking vistas.

Quiet Slice of Heaven

McCully Forks Campground in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest is an absolute haven for those seeking to reconnect with nature. The serenity and beauty of the surroundings are unparalleled, providing a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The lack of cell service was surprisingly refreshing, encouraging genuine relaxation and a chance to truly unplug. From the rustling of the trees to the clear, starlit sky, every detail felt like an invitation to breathe deeper and appreciate the simple joys. If you're looking for a tranquil retreat and a profound sense of peace, McCully Forks Campground delivers in every aspect. Can't wait to return!

The Hidden Nugget

We stayed at The Gold Rush RV park in Sumpter, OR for one week. We absolutely loved our stay. The park was clean, and the restrooms/laundry room was spotless. We really enjoyed exploring the area in the evenings. We were at site 15 on the top of the hill that overlooked the road and the mountains. In our opinion, it is the best spot in the park. The couple that owns the park lives on-site and takes very good care of their park.  We will be back for sure. If you need anything, be sure to let them know, they are very helpful.

Busy. Cramped.

Nehalem Bay State Park is a beautiful place. But… the sites are right on top of one another. I would not say this park is for a getaway into a nature park. It is a highly trafficked park. Nothing wrong with the park outside of the cleanliness of the showers is reflective of the massive amounts of people that use them. We were here for a week, and I never once had a clean shower. The shower heads also spray water all over, so be careful with what you don't want wet. Our picnic table was falling apart, but I know they are in the process of replacing them because several had new tops and seats on them.

The ocean is a good hike over the dunes, but it is a beautiful, clean beach.

Wide Open Spaces

If you want a fancy resort style RV park with pools, organized games, and a bunch of frill, this is not the park for you.

BUT… if you want simplistic beauty with endless stargazing and phenomenal sunsets located just a few miles of Moab, Seven Mile RV Park is the park for you.

The owners and staff are super friendly and on-site. Melissa met us at the gate and took us to our site. Seven Mile boasts HUGE sites with plenty of room to relax under the blanket of Utah stars.

There is trash, fresh water, and a dump station on site for paying customers, but electricity only at select sites. This park is the thrill seekers dream as it is at the base of Gemini Bridges and close to countless other off-road trails. We have fallen in love with Moab and Seven Mile Park… we will be back.

Taking the Good With The Bad

This park has stunning views. It’s absolutely beautiful. Restrooms are super clean.

Smaller spots. If you are in anything bigger than 34 foot most sites are going to be tight.

Sticker/sand burs are TERRIBLE.

Views for Days

This park has views that will not disappoint.

There are pull through sites, tent sites and sites with electric and water. There is a dump station near by.

They have restrooms and trash dumpsters available too.

Don’t forget the bug spray

We loved the location of this park. The staff was unbelievably kind. Clean, modest restrooms and laundry.

Large group fire are.

Peaceful.

Strawberry Fields ARE Forever

This is a huge park. The owners live on site and take great pride to care for everything on site. Washers and Dryers are available but a little pricey vs other parks. Restrooms are SPOTLESS. Well lit sites for evening walks. We really enjoyed our time here.

Because Life is Better at Camp Holiday

Camp Holiday is a fantastic park. The restroom are spotless. Sites are beautifully cared for and managed. The owners life on site and are available to ensure your stay is fantastic.
