Found this gem 💎 of a campground ⛺️ on a Sunday drive and thought I would give some input. Looks like a great place to stay and will be definitely going back to stay and get some camping trip on. 🏕 not a very big campground but really cool not good for lager RV’s but if you had a little one it would work out here.
10 sites and one bathroom. Three of the sites are private. At least three of them can be an RV site. Great for community camping ⛺️. Gorgeous waterfall with most camping on the creek. Can’t wait to go back to take the trail a 100 yards up the road.
Great on the road stop but not a destination place. Nice and clean but very wired traffic pattern. Well Maintained trails.
Dry Creek $20 a night per. Vehicle, site, night check out at 12pm. Clean with dump station and about 30+ sites. all most all with tent pads just no ATV’s. Has Group sites , water stations, walking trails in campground, pull though spots.
Paxton Lake well off the hwy, not too far, enough to be quiet. nice spots well maintained . Clearly marked trails 50+ sites all shapes and walk in sites right on the lake. Clean bathrooms and low cellphone single there.
Sourdough creek campground has Clean bathrooms. Fun River academy. At just $12 a night. Quite private space not on top of your neighbors. Walk in sites and ADA sites and walking tails though out camp ground. No cellphone signal so you can really be in touch with nature.
Tangle lakes campground has nice clean sites, lots of hiking (some a small drive) boat launch, bathrooms can be a bit of a walk from some sites. In mid August the little nats were horrible but that’s camping in Alaska!
It’s a nice cozy place for a night to relax before the big bus 🚌 ride though the Denali park. Reasonable prices and great spots too some right on the river front.
Eklutna is just a wonderful fun place for the family. Not only can you do swim 🏊♀️, fish 🎣, and kayak 🚣🏻♀️, bike 🚲, and ride atv’s . The hiking 🥾 is just so good and omg 😮 the camping ⛺️ has some amazing place’s for you tent’s 🏕. Oh and if your in to looking for Bigfoot well we tried doing some calling for them but because it was day time and just maybe not the right call we did not find them. But there is always next time 😉.
But I’ll do my best. We went for a drive today and found that wonderful camp ground unfortunately we did not get to say there because of trees that needed to be worked on. But you can bet we are going to be going back and staying there it was a cute little place beautiful lake and I can’t wait tell we get to see it all. It was just a bit windy and the boat dock was rocking but that’s because we have never been on a floating boat dock before 😂.
they looked like fantastic Spots and going out on the glacier was so much fun.
it’s an overall fun and great camping ground. clean and good upkeep on the restrooms and the campground sits are nice and well taken care of. only thing to keep it from being 5 star is no trash cans.
