Great campground with a fun playground for kiddos, nice pool and lovely grounds. Super clean and large bathrooms, all sites have full hookups, friendly hosts. Sites are close together but friendly campers! Perfect place to stay and tailgate for Tiger games. MIZ!

Nice campground with big, level sites. Even though they don’t take reservations, there is plenty of space and availability. Lovely grasslands, ponds, hiking trails, but the lack of trees and privacy isn’t my preference. Still great option not far from Chicago.

We stayed for two nights and we really needed longer. Large private showers, wonderful playground for kids, gorgeous setting!!! The campground is covered in towering trees and is so picturesque. Spacious sites and friendly hosts. We loved our time at Fort Welikit!!!

We stopped for the night and had terrific pull through sites, right off the highway. Clean, GORGEOUS bathrooms, friendly hosts!

We stopped for the night driving between Black Hills and Chicago and the service was awesome. The hosts called to tell us about construction and give us alternative directions. In the morning they had a goody bag for our kiddos which made their whole day! Clean bathrooms, friendly campers, easy pull through sites and lots of charm.

Wonderful spot! Really quiet, super clean and nice facilities! Right on the river and two great playgrounds for kids!!!!
