This place has many spots. We were here memorial day weekend last year. If the weather is crazy there is barely anyone…if the weather is nice you will see people rolling in all night. Its a great family campground there is a park to play plus your right by the lake so kids and adults are wading in and swimming all day. Its lots of fun the spaces are big and nice, you can go fishing. There are some geese to watch out out for their poop. There is a local (I think) who comes around with ice, and firewood. There is water, bathrooms, and showers. There is a local grocery store near by if you need something. All around a cute spot
We got up there about 1 o'clock on a Friday…you definately need to be there earlier! Everything was crazy packed full already. Luckily I went and talked to the ranger and he told me of a spot that might still be open…IT WAS! We were there for the weekend. Our first day was very nice and sunny so we went on a hike pass the meadow it leads to beautiful open mountains. That night it got so dark we were blanketed in stars and it was simply amazing. This campground has no showers or water. They do have pit toilets and firewood for sale. Be prepared to see lots of deer. Its a great place to go get away for the weekend but definately start early and get there early.
