Beautiful spot

Great spot- all the sites are right on the water. The drive up to the reservoir is long but very pretty. It was kinda crowded by the time I got there so getting there early in the day is best.

Crowded

Stayed here in the fall- super packed, sites are close together, not much privacy. Also looked like there were a few squatters who had been there a while… Lots of ants, views weren’t great. Proximity to Zion was nice but wouldn’t stay here again.

Nobody around

Take the gravel road off rt12 that leads you down to the lake. There’s dispersed camping all the way down to the reservoir- just look for signs to make sure you’re not on private property. There’s a big clearing to your right about 3/4mi down the road. Lots of trees to hammock and I had no neighbors while I was there.

Great views- hard to get to

Take klondike bluff rd off of 191. Drive down the dirt road and there’s hundreds of sites along the road. 4wd recommended- there’s some rough spots especially after it rains. I did it in my front wheel drive SUV and was fine but the further down the road you go the worse it gets. Views are amazing& you can find spots with no neighbors. No bathrooms or trash cans- pack in pack out.

Beautiful views

Great views of castle valley& castleton tower. The hike up to the tower is an added bonus. Not great for big groups or campers- parking lot is pretty small and fills up quickly. Lots of campsites that you can hike to though.
